A leisurely picnic celebrating Father's Day yielded these treasures: spruce cone (Picea sp.), sea coal, driftwood, Common Periwinkles (Littorina littorea), Blue Mussels (Mytilus edulis), birch bark (Betula papyrifera), granite beach stone, a large barnacle (Balanus balanoides), and plastic wadding from a shotgun shell.
